MEDICAL DERMATOLOGY

Root-Cause Diagnosis. Clinical Precision. Bespoke Protocols.

At Amare Aesthetics, medical dermatology is approached with the exact same aesthetic standard, attention to detail, and clinical rigor as advanced skin treatments. True skin health goes beyond suppressing symptoms...it requires a comprehensive, root-cause strategy that balances cellular function, restores your skin barrier, and addresses the systemic triggers behind chronic skin concerns.

We bridge the gap between traditional clinical dermatology and high-touch concierge medicine. Whether managing severe inflammatory conditions or seeking targeted prescription protocols, your treatment plan is tailored specifically to your skin biology and lifestyle.

THE AMARE DIFFERENCE

There is no separate platform. No algorithm selecting your formula. No practitioner who has never seen your skin making decisions about it.

We take the time to understand not just what your skin looks like, but why it behaves the way it does, your hormonal patterns, your history, your sensitivities, your goals. Every ingredient we select has a reason. Every concentration is intentional.

OUR CLINICAL PHILOSOPHY & APPROACH

01 Root-Cause Evaluation We look beyond surface-level breakouts or redness. By evaluating hormonal balance, internal inflammation, environmental triggers, and past treatment failures, we design targeted clinical interventions that work at the cellular level.

02 Custom Formulations We utilize highquality and specialized formulations tailored to your exact skin tolerance and therapeutic needs.

03 Integrated Prescription Management  From holistic methodologies, supplements, oral medications, systemic anti-inflammatories to FDA-approved retinoid protocols and isotretinoin (Accutane) management, we provide complete, safe, and closely monitored prescription care routed directly to your preferred pharmacy. Whether you want the approach to be holistic, medicinal or both, we got you.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Medical dermatology focuses on diagnosing, treating, and preventing health conditions affecting the skin, hair, and nails: such as eczema, skin cancer, acne, and psoriasis. Cosmetic/aesthetic dermatology focuses strictly on improving aesthetic appearance through elective procedures like fillers or cosmetic lasers. Tragically, insurance classifes acne scars as "cosmetic."

Over-the-counter products often only treat surface symptoms, masking underlying medical conditions. As specialized dermatology providers, we diagnose the root cause of complex conditions—such as stubborn acne, severe eczema, psoriasis, or suspicious moles. Seeing us gives you access to advanced prescription therapies, precise diagnostic tools, and targeted treatment plans designed specifically for your skin's biology.

Adult acne is often driven by hormones, chronic stress, or barrier dysfunction—not just oily skin.OTC products rely heavily on drying agents like benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid, which can irritate adult skin and worsen inflammation. We evaluate internal hormone pathways and prescribe targeted therapies—such as topical retinoids, hormonal modulators, or anti-inflammatory prescriptions—that address the root cause without stripping your skin barrier.

Follow the ABCDE guidelines when monitoring moles:

  • A - Asymmetry: One half doesn't match the other.
  • B - Border: Irregular, scalloped, or poorly defined edges.
  • C - Color: Varying shades of tan, brown, black, red, white, or blue.
  • D - Diameter: Greater than 6mm (about the size of a pencil eraser), though some can be smaller.
  • E - Evolving: Any change in size, shape, color, or symptoms like itching or bleeding.

Your skin and mind are deeply connected through the brain-skin axis (psychodermatology). Stress, anxiety, and sleep disruptions trigger neuro-hormones and inflammation that directly worsen conditions like psoriasis, eczema, acne, and hair loss. Conversely, living with a visible skin condition can take a toll on your emotional well-being. We address both sides of this connection by evaluating emotional triggers and incorporating mind-body strategies alongside traditional medical therapies.

We practice integrative dermatology, which combines conventional medical treatments (like targeted topicals or biologics) with evidence-based lifestyle, dietary, and natural interventions. Rather than relying solely on a prescription pad, we evaluate root drivers like gut health, nutritional deficiencies, barrier repair, and environmental stressors to build a comprehensive care plan that supports long-term healing from the inside out.

Many serious medical conditions, including early-stage skin cancers like melanoma, develop without pain or discomfort. Waiting for symptoms to cause pain often means delaying critical treatment. Routine clinical screenings allow us to catch pre-cancers and skin diseases early when they are most treatable.

We offer flexible access models so you get the right care at the right time without unnecessary disruption to your day:

In-Person Visit: Full-body skin cancer screenings, new or changing moles, biopsies, localized rashes needing tactile evaluation, and hands-on procedures. Physical palpation, dermoscopy (magnified light inspection), and immediate diagnostic sampling if needed.

Virtual Visit: Routine medication check-ins, follow-ups on chronic conditions (acne, rosacea, stable eczema), lab result reviews, and initial triage.High-resolution visual review, treatment adjustments, and direct e-prescribing to your pharmacy.

We operate primarily as an independent direct-care practice to ensure unhurried, high-touch clinical care without third-party restrictions.

We currently accept HSA (Health Savings Account) and FSA (Flexible Spending Account) funds for eligible clinical services and prescriptions. While we do not bill commercial health insurance directly at this time, we are actively expanding our coverage and will be updating our platform with in-network insurance options soon. Consultation fees cover direct provider evaluation and clinical decision-making; they are strictly non-refundable and non-transferable toward product purchases.

When you establish care with us, you aren't just booking a single provider—you gain access to a fully integrated ecosystem of expert skin care specialists. We act as your primary skin care home and coordinate seamlessly with our trusted referral network:

  • Mohs Surgeons: For precise, tissue-sparing surgical removal of skin cancers in sensitive areas.
  • Skin of Color Specialist Dermatologists: For tailored management of keloids, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, and conditions presenting uniquely in pigmented skin.
  • Advanced Laser Dermatologists: For targeted vascular, structural, or deep-tissue light therapies.
  • Dermatopathologists: Board-certified specialists who analyze microscopic skin biopsies for definitive diagnostic precision.
  • Advanced Practice Practitioners (NPs/PAs): Skilled clinical team members ensuring prompt appointment availability and ongoing continuity of care.
  • Licensed Estheticians: Partnering with us to provide supportive, medical-grade skin barrier maintenance that complements your clinical prescriptions.

False: Modern medical dermatology utilizes highly targeted medications:including biologic therapies and non-steroidal topicals, that precisely address inflammation without damaging surrounding tissue. We monitor your treatment closely to ensure maximum effectiveness with minimal risk.
