Vivant Skincare 15% Mandelic Acid 3-In-1 Serum

Advanced AHA Exfoliating & Brightening Serum for Hyperpigmentation, Acne-Prone Skin & Uneven Texture

Elevate your corrective skincare regimen with Vivant 15% Mandelic Acid 3-In-1 Serum, an advanced-strength, leave-on exfoliating treatment formulated to improve the appearance of stubborn dark spots, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH), congested pores, and uneven skin texture.

Powered by 15% mandelic acid, this multifunctional alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) serum promotes surface skin renewal while helping refine blemish-related imperfections, discoloration, and visible signs of aging. Its combination of exfoliating and moisture-binding ingredients supports a brighter, smoother, and more even-looking complexion.

Developed for oily, resilient, and acne-prone skin already acclimated to corrective acids, this intensive serum may also be incorporated into carefully selected regimens for melanin-rich complexions prone to post-acne discoloration.

Benefits

  • Advanced Chemical Exfoliation: Contains 15% mandelic acid to promote surface skin renewal and improve rough, uneven texture.

  • Visibly Improves Dark Spots: Helps reduce the appearance of post-acne marks, uneven pigmentation, and dullness.

  • Supports Acne-Prone Skin: Helps remove accumulated surface cells that contribute to clogged pores and congestion.

  • Refines Visible Pores: Promotes a smoother-looking complexion and helps minimize the appearance of enlarged pores.

  • Softens the Appearance of Fine Lines: Encourages surface renewal to improve visible signs of early photoaging.

  • Promotes Skin Radiance: Helps reveal a brighter, more uniform-looking skin tone.

  • Provides Moisture-Binding Support: Niacinamide, sodium PCA, sodium lactate, and urea help support hydration alongside exfoliation.

Best For

Skin Types: Oily, combination, resilient, and acne-prone skin already accustomed to chemical exfoliation.

Skin Concerns:

  • Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH)

  • Stubborn dark spots and post-acne marks

  • Uneven skin tone and discoloration

  • Congested pores and blackheads

  • Rough or uneven skin texture

  • Excess surface oil

  • Dullness and accumulated surface buildup

  • Fine lines and early signs of photoaging

  • Blemish-related imperfections on the face, chest, or back

Not Ideal For: Individuals new to exfoliating acids, very dry or highly reactive skin, active rosacea flares, or compromised skin barriers.

Key Ingredients

Mandelic Acid 15%: An alpha hydroxy acid derived from bitter almonds that promotes chemical exfoliation, helping improve uneven pigmentation, blemish-related discoloration, and rough texture. Its larger molecular structure generally allows slower penetration than glycolic acid, although this high-strength concentration can still cause significant irritation.

Niacinamide (Vitamin B3): Helps support skin barrier function, improve the appearance of uneven skin tone, and reduce visible redness associated with dryness and irritation.

Lactic Acid: An additional alpha hydroxy acid that supports surface exfoliation while providing humectant properties to help maintain skin softness.

Urea: A moisture-binding ingredient that helps soften rough skin and support hydration.

Sodium PCA & Sodium Lactate: Components associated with the skin's natural moisturizing factor that attract and retain moisture, helping maintain suppleness.

Inositol: A skin-conditioning ingredient that helps support moisture balance and a smoother-looking complexion.

How to Use

AM or PM | After Cleansing and Toning

Apply a thin, even layer to clean, dry skin on the face or other recommended treatment areas. Avoid the eyes, lips, and mucous membranes. Follow with an appropriate moisturizer.

Recommended Acclimation:

  • Before Starting: Establish tolerance to Vivant 8% Mandelic Acid Serum for approximately 6–12 weeks, unless otherwise directed by your skincare provider.

  • Weeks 1–2: Introduce the 15% serum every other day, provided the skin is comfortable.

  • After Two Weeks: Increase to once daily only if well tolerated and appropriate for your skincare regimen.

  • If Irritation Occurs: Discontinue temporarily until the skin has recovered, then resume at a reduced frequency if appropriate.

Apply over the intended treatment area rather than using exclusively as a spot treatment, unless your provider advises otherwise.

AM: Use broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher daily. For patients managing melasma or persistent hyperpigmentation, a tinted sunscreen containing iron oxides is particularly beneficial for visible-light protection.

Amare Clinical Tip: Persistent hyperpigmentation requires a controlled approach to exfoliation. Although mandelic acid may be better tolerated than some other AHAs, a higher concentration does not automatically produce better outcomes.

In skin of color, excessive exfoliation can trigger inflammation and worsen post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. The 15% serum is best reserved for patients whose skin has demonstrated adequate tolerance and whose pigmentation, acne, or texture concerns justify a more intensive treatment.

Important to Know

  • Contains 15% mandelic acid and is classified as an advanced-strength exfoliating serum.

  • Contains denatured alcohol, which may contribute to dryness or irritation in susceptible skin.

  • Temporary tingling, dryness, flaking, or peeling may occur during acclimation.

  • Avoid use on broken, severely irritated, or compromised skin.

  • Use caution when combining with prescription retinoids, benzoyl peroxide, exfoliating toners, or other corrective acids.

  • Daily sun protection is essential.

  • Discontinue use if persistent burning, significant redness, or excessive peeling develops.

  • Results vary depending on the underlying condition, skin tolerance, and consistency of use.
