PM | After Cleansing
Shake well before use. Apply a thin, even layer to clean, dry skin on the face or back, avoiding the eyes, lips, and mucous membranes. Apply over the intended treatment area rather than using exclusively as a spot treatment.
Follow with a moisturizer appropriate for your skin type.
Recommended Introduction:
Before Starting: Establish tolerance to an introductory retinoid such as Vivant Derm-A-Gel or Derm-A-Renew.
Weeks 1–2: Begin every other evening, or less frequently if advised by your skincare provider.
Week 3 and Beyond: Increase toward nightly use only if the skin remains comfortable and the rest of your regimen permits.
If Irritation Occurs: Pause application until irritation resolves, then reassess whether a lower frequency or gentler formula is appropriate.
AM: Apply broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher daily. Reapply when outdoors. For patients managing melasma or post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, tinted sunscreen containing iron oxides provides additional visible-light protection.
Amare Clinical Tip: Exfol-A combines retinoid activity with glycolic acid, making it more exfoliating than Derm-A-Gel. This combination may be beneficial for appropriately selected patients with resilient, congested skin, but it also increases the potential for irritation.
In skin of color, aggressive exfoliation can worsen post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. Visible peeling should never be the goal of treatment. Introduce Exfol-A gradually and avoid unnecessarily layering it with additional exfoliating acids or retinoids.
REt (RP)™ Retinoid (Retinyl Propionate): Vivant's proprietary vitamin A technology designed to support skin renewal and improve the appearance of fine lines, rough texture, and uneven skin tone. Retinyl propionate is a cosmetic retinoid ester and differs from prescription tretinoin.
Glycolic Acid: An alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) that promotes surface exfoliation, helping refine uneven texture, dullness, and the appearance of visible pores.
Kojic Acid: A pigment-targeting ingredient that helps improve the appearance of dark spots and uneven skin tone by interfering with pathways involved in melanin production.
Niacinamide (Vitamin B3): Helps support skin barrier function, improve uneven pigmentation, and maintain a smoother, more balanced-looking complexion.
Lactic Acid: An alpha hydroxy acid that provides additional surface exfoliation and humectant benefits.
Urea: A moisture-binding ingredient that helps soften rough skin and maintain hydration.
Sodium PCA & Sodium Lactate: Components associated with the skin's natural moisturizing factor that help attract and retain moisture.
