For persistent redness, flushing, inflammatory bumps, and rosacea-prone skin.
Treatment may include metronidazole, azelaic acid, ivermectin, sulfacetamide-sulfur, brimonidine, oxymetazoline, or other prescription therapies, including custom compounded formulas when appropriate.

Pigmentation, Melasma & Sun Damage
Melasma and hyperpigmentation often require more than a single brightening ingredient.
Prescription treatment may incorporate hydroquinone, tretinoin, tranexamic acid, azelaic acid, kojic acid and other clinically selected ingredients depending on your pigmentation pattern, skin type, previous treatment and medical history.
When appropriate, multiple active ingredients may be combined into one custom compounded prescription.
Nail Concerns
Certain nail changes, including suspected fungal nail infections, may begin with a virtual evaluation.
Prescription topical or oral antifungal treatment may be considered when appropriate, while laboratory testing or diagnostic confirmation may be required before certain medications are prescribed.
Eczema & Dermatitis
For eczema, seborrheic dermatitis, contact dermatitis, psoriasis, itching, flaking, and recurring inflammation of the face, body, or scalp.
Treatment may include topical corticosteroids, tacrolimus, pimecrolimus, roflumilast, or other non-steroidal prescription therapies, alongside barrier-supportive skincare.

Hair & Scalp
Virtual evaluation is available for many forms of hair thinning, shedding and common scalp conditions.
Depending on the diagnosis, treatment may include minoxidil, finasteride, spironolactone, ketoconazole, topical corticosteroids or customized compounded hair and scalp formulations. Laboratory evaluation may also be recommended when indicated.
Infections & Acute Dermatological Issues
Select fungal and bacterial skin conditions can often be evaluated virtually when clear photographs and an appropriate medical history are available.
Treatment may include prescription antifungal, antibacterial or anti-inflammatory therapy depending on the diagnosis. Conditions requiring cultures, procedures or hands-on examination will be referred for in-person care.
Excessive Sweating
For excessive sweating of the underarms, hands, feet, face, or other areas that interferes with daily life.
Treatment may include prescription-strength antiperspirants, topical glycopyrronium, oral medications, or neuromodulator injections depending on the location and severity.
Your provider determines the appropriate treatment based on your symptoms, medical history, and previous therapies.
Texture & Skin Aging
For fine lines, uneven texture, sun damage, dullness, and signs of skin aging.
Treatment may include tretinoin and other retinoids, pigment-correcting ingredients, antioxidants, or custom compounded formulas, alongside professional skincare.
When appropriate, chemical peels using glycolic, lactic, mandelic, salicylic, or other clinically selected acids may be incorporated to improve tone, texture, and overall skin quality.

Warts + Skin Growths
Certain warts and superficial skin concerns may be appropriate for prescription home treatment following clinical evaluation. Not all cases
Some lesions cannot be safely diagnosed from photographs alone. If your provider identifies features requiring dermoscopy, biopsy, freezing or another procedure, an in-person dermatology evaluation will be recommended.
Keratosis Pilaris + Body Texture
For rough, bumpy skin, keratosis pilaris, uneven body texture, and persistent follicular buildup.
Treatment may include prescription retinoids, urea, lactic or salicylic acid, anti-inflammatory ingredients, or custom compounded formulas designed to smooth texture and improve skin turnover.
Your provider selects treatment based on the location, severity, sensitivity, and characteristics of your skin.

Already using a prescription through Amaré? Request a refill or renewal for your skin, hair, scalp, or nail treatment without starting over.
Submit a brief update and current photos for provider review. Your prescription may be continued, adjusted, or changed based on your progress and current needs.
CUSTOM COMPOUNDED PRESCRIPTION SKINCARE

Commercial medications are manufactured in predetermined strengths and formulations. Sometimes that is exactly what a patient needs.
Sometimes it isn't.
When medically appropriate, we can prescribe custom compounded dermatology formulations that allow your provider to individualize ingredients, concentrations and combinations around your skin.
A pigmentation formula, for example, may incorporate clinically selected ingredients such as:
Hydroquinone + Tretinoin + Kojic Acid
while an acne-focused formulation may use an entirely different combination and concentration.
The formula isn't chosen because it belongs to a predetermined subscription tier. It is prescribed because it makes sense for your skin.

You do not have to be an established in-person Amaré patient to request eligible virtual prescription care.
Complete an online prescription request with your concerns, health history and photographs. Your provider will determine whether your concern can be managed through the online pathway or requires a more comprehensive virtual evaluation.
Our in-person practice remains application-based and is separate from online prescription care.
You don't need to complete another comprehensive new-patient application just to request an eligible prescription refill.

Eligible California patients may request an evaluation for prescription tretinoin through us. Your medical provider reviews your skin concerns, photographs, medical history and previous treatment before determining whether tretinoin is appropriate and which strength and formulation should be prescribed.
Custom compounded formulations may be prescribed when clinically appropriate. Compounding allows your provider to individualize the concentration, vehicle or combination of active ingredients based on your treatment plan.
Certain patients with melasma or hyperpigmentation may be appropriate for virtual prescription management. Treatment may include ingredients such as hydroquinone, tretinoin, azelaic acid, tranexamic acid or kojic acid depending on your clinical evaluation.
Yes. You're welcome to tell your practitioner if you're interested in a particular medication.

Yes. Commercially available prescriptions can be electronically routed to your preferred retail pharmacy when appropriate. Custom formulations are fulfilled through an appropriate licensed compounding pharmacy and may be shipped directly to your home when pharmacy services and applicable law permit.
Not necessarily. Some dermatologic concerns may be appropriate for review using your medical history and clinical photographs.
